Originally from Tasmania, Dr Emma Fist studied medicine at UNSW in Sydney, graduating with first-class honours in 2011. She later completed her General Practice training in Hobart.
Emma enjoys all areas of general practice and has a particular interest in women’s health, including
antenatal
shared care and contraception. Emma is trained in the insertion and removal of contraceptive implants and hormone-releasing
intrauterine devices
(IUD). She also enjoys paediatric health and has completed a Diploma in Child Health through the University of Sydney. Emma’s clinical style focuses on evidence-based, patient-centred medicine. She enjoys providing preventative healthcare and health education.
When she’s not working, Emma enjoys spending time with her husband and her very energetic toddler.
