Dr Emma Fist

Originally from Tasmania, Dr Emma Fist studied medicine at UNSW in Sydney, graduating with first-class honours in 2011. She later completed her General Practice training in Hobart. 

Emma enjoys all areas of general practice and has a particular interest in women’s health, including antenatal shared care and contraception. Emma is trained in the insertion and removal of contraceptive implants and hormone-releasing intrauterine devices (IUD). She also enjoys paediatric health and has completed a Diploma in Child Health through the University of Sydney. Emma’s clinical style focuses on evidence-based, patient-centred medicine. She enjoys providing preventative healthcare and health education.

When she’s not working, Emma enjoys spending time with her husband and her very energetic toddler.

Dr Fist operates out of our Highgate Hill Medical Centre and Oxley Medical Centre.
