NDIS Music Therapy

Registered Music Therapist Amy Cooper, has designed music therapy programs for families with preschool and school-aged children seeking individual sessions for their child at our Sherwood practice. Amy has appointments available for those with plan-managed or self-managed NDIS funding. No previous experience with music is required to participate in a music therapy program.

 What is Music Therapy?

Music therapy can support children and families seeking to address:

 

  • Speech and language concerns
  • Emotional regulation
  • Sensory processing challenges
  • ADHD
  • ASD
  • Anxiety
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Physical disabilities



Music therapy sessions include:

 

  • Singing
  • Playing instruments (guitar, drums and percussion)
  • Sensory materials (scarves, ribbons, art supplies)
  • Song writing
  • Musical play and improvisation
  • Books and story telling

· 30-minute Individual Session ($97)


· 45-minute Individual Session ($145)


· 60-Minute Individual Session ($180)


Please note: if you are unable to access NDIS funding, ask reception to contact Amy about rates for non-NDIS sessions


All appointments include an individualised program tailored to the needs of your child, the use of high-quality percussion instruments and sensory materials, and assistance with finding resources to continue to support your child.
